Flood Risk Assessment Services

We produce full Flood Risk Assessments in line with NPPF and local authority requirements. Our reports assess fluvial, tidal, surface water, and groundwater risk, include EA data analysis, and propose mitigation strategies tailored to your development site.

We use Flood Modeller, TUFLOW, HEC-RAS, and InfoWorks ICM to simulate flood behaviour under defended, undefended, and climate-adjusted scenarios. Outputs include flood depth, velocity, and hazard mapping to support EA review and complex development approvals.

Our surface water drainage designs follow CIRIA C753 and integrate SuDS features such as swales, permeable paving, and attenuation ponds. We calculate greenfield and brownfield runoff rates (using FEH or IH124) and provide MicroDrainage or InfoDrainage outputs for LLFA approval.

We prepare Sequential and Exception Test reports for developments in Flood Zones 2 and 3. These documents support planning applications by demonstrating appropriate site selection, mitigation feasibility, and policy compliance under the PPG.

We develop Flood Warning and Evacuation Plans tailored for vulnerable and high-risk sites, incorporating EA flood alert levels, safe egress strategies, refuge locations, and staff response protocols.

Our desktop appraisals provide a fast, cost-effective flood risk overview for land acquisition, feasibility studies, or early-stage planning. We evaluate flood zone status, surface water risk, and historical flood evidence.

We manage engagement with the Environment Agency, LLFAs, Internal Drainage Boards, and water authorities. Our service includes technical negotiations, RFIs, and Flood Risk Activity Permit (FRAP) preparation and submission.

Following planning approval, we deliver engineering design for mitigation works such as raised FFLs, compensatory storage, flood bunds, and drainage installations. We also support construction phase compliance and condition discharge.
